CALVARY Baptist Leadership
Calvary Baptist is blessed to have a Pastoral leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Riley Keith
Minister of Worship
We are very excited to introduce the newest members of our Calvary team – Riley Keith and his fiancé Tyler Erwin. Riley is passionate about leading others into a deeper relationship with the Lord through worship and discipleship. Prior to coming to Calvary Baptist Church, Riley served as a Student Ministry Leader at Odena Baptist Church, where he invested in students and helped them grow in their faith.
Riley also served as the leader of Rooted Worship, a youth worship band that led worship regularly for the student ministry and often for the entire congregation. Through this ministry, Riley developed a heart for using music to point people toward Christ and encourage others to worship Him wholeheartedly.
In addition to his ministry at Calvary, Riley works as an electrician for Blue Bell Creameries. Through both his career and his ministry, Riley strives to honor the Lord by serving others with excellence, humility, and a servant’s heart.
Since coming to Calvary Baptist Church, Riley has brought that same passion for worship and ministry to our church family. His desire is not simply to lead songs, but to help people encounter God through genuine, Christ-centered worship.
Riley and Tyler are looking forward to being married in May of 2027.
Paul R. Hickman Jr.
Senior Pastor
Pastor Paul came to Calvary in December of 1985 as the first full time Minister of Music and Youth. He served in that position for 12 years. In July of 1997 the church unanimously called Paul to serve as the Senior Pastor. He continues to serve the Calvary Baptist Church in that role.
During Paul's tenure at the church, he married his wife Tammy in 1986, and they are the parents of four grown children, Reid, Tyler, Danielle and Ryan. They also have two daughters-in-love, Kaylan and Jordan and a new granddaughter - Collins. Ava Kay is expected to arrive in September 2024.
You can expect simplicity, relevance and application from Paul's teaching and preaching from the pulpit. He has a heart for all age groups that make up our unique family at Calvary and he is committed to perseverance and patiently shepherding our flock.
Brother Paul is not simply available "to" you as the lead Pastor, he is available "for" you as a friend and mentor. In other words, our ministers at Calvary are up close, relatable and personal.
Cody Lytton
Student Pastor
Pastor Cody actually grew up at Calvary under the leadership of Brother Paul. His growth as a believer, his obvious giftedness, and impeccable character led the church to call him over a decade ago to serve as our Student Pastor.
Cody provides sound Biblical teaching for our students at Calvary. He is also our Children's Church director which gives him the unique opportunity to build relationships with the future generation of students. The Children's church also focuses on sound Biblical instruction with crafts and music as well.
Pastor Cody also assists with the Preaching Ministry of Calvary. He regularly fills the pulpit, adding specific messages to compliment current series, and sometimes doing series of his own.
He married Megan at Calvary Baptist Church in 2007 and they now have two children, son, Maddox and daughter, Harper.
